Jay is a Los Angeles–based cinematographer, originally from Tirupati, India, and a recent MFA graduate in Cinematography from Loyola Marymount University. His path into filmmaking has been anything but traditional—he began with a degree in computer science, but a growing passion for photography gradually led him toward visual storytelling. What started as curiosity behind the camera evolved into a purposeful pursuit of crafting cinematic images that serve both story and emotion.

Jay's work spans short films, documentaries, and visually-driven narratives, with a strong focus on human-centered drama, thrillers, and experimental storytelling. He is particularly drawn to projects where light, texture, and movement become narrative tools—where cinematography doesn't just capture, but interprets. He believes in creating immersive, emotionally resonant images that elevate the story and invite the audience into a fully realized world.

He is currently seeking professional collaborations across narrative, documentary, and branded content.
